Interested in becoming a Museum Volunteer?

Come join us and be a part of our volunteer family. Enjoy the rich history that the March Field Air Museum provides. You'll meet interesting people and learn plenty while you help the museum "reach for the skies!"

Volunteers are involved in all aspects of the March Field Air Museum and its operations. Docents (volunteers trained in public contact) give guided tours, answer questions, and share information to help the museum's artifacts and exhibits come alive. Volunteers also help fabricate exhibits, perform aircraft restoration work, support collections processing, perform office functions, greet visitors and provide information, staff special events and the research library, and assist with facility maintenance.

We appreciate the contributions and dedication of the museum's volunteers, and we work together as a team to accomplish our mission. Without its many volunteers, the March Field Air Museum would not be what it is today.

Sound interesting? We recommend that you plan to attend our next Volunteer Open House, an informal event where you'll have the chance to speak with volunteers who work in all of the functional areas listed above. It's also a great way to meet some really interesting people who are engaged in giving back to their community through the museum.
