Here are the next events coming soon to the March Field Air Museum. Reach for the Skies! For a more complete listing of events or for more details about those noted below, please visit the CALENDAR page on this website.

Up-Close Aircraft Day

Saturday, August 11

WWI French "Lafeyette Escadrille" Fighter

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The March Field Air Museum's “Up-Close Aircraft Day” for August will feature the Nieuport 11, one of the earliest successful fighter aircraft. The 1916 introduction of the single-seat Nieuport 11 brought German dominance of European skies to an end. Originally designed for racing, the Nieuport "Bebe" (Baby) featured an upper wing-mounted machine gun along with ailerons, instead of more primitive wing warping, for rapid maneuvering. Click on the aircraft image for more details!

Every second Saturday through 2018, a different aircraft is featured monthly during "Up-Close Aircraft Days" at the March Field Air Museum! Guests have the opportunity for a close look – sometimes climbing stairs to see directly into the cargo bay or cockpit, other times even climbing aboard. The new Up-Close Aircraft Days takes place every second Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Included with regular museum admission.
