What is this event all about?
“Champions of Flight” is a signature fundraiser benefitting the March Field Air Museum. The Champions of Flight event and award presentation honors an individual or organization in acknowledgment of significant achievement in support of, or sustained contributions to, aviation and/or aerospace.
For 2021, the event will be honoring National Aviation Hall of Fame pilot Dick Rutan, the Command Pilot of the around the world non-stop Voyager flight with the Bob Gilliland Award. The Voyager flight still holds the world record of a successful nonstop, non-refueled flight around the world.
Where will the event be held?
The Champions of Flight event takes place at the March Field Air Museum, 22550 Van Buren Blvd. (at I-215). This top-rated TripAdvisor attraction is located just south of downtown Riverside and adjacent to March Air Reserve Base. For the event, guests will be surrounded by an amazing collection of impressive aircraft and aviation artifacts.
How much do tickets cost?
Event tickets for “Champions of Flight” are $125/person, which includes a signed copy of Dick Rutan's new Book - The Next Five Minutes Embracing the Impossible - All proceeds from this event will benefit the March Field Air Museum and its programs.
What does my Champions of Flight event ticket include?
Tickets include event admission, no-host cocktail hour, silent auction, plus a full sit-down dinner (choice of beef, chicken, fish or vegetarian entree). As part of the “Champions of Flight” special event, guests will also receive a signed copy of Dick Rutan's new Book - The Next Five Minutes Embracing the Impossible
