Mission Inn Hotel and Spa

Located on Mission Inn Avenue between Orange and Main in Downtown Riverside. Voted “Best Historic Hotel in America” and "Best Hiloday Light SHow in America," this storied and unique hotel occupies an entire city block. Founder Frank Miller played a big role in getting the U.S. Army to designate a nearby airstrip (today’s March Air Reserve Base) as a military aviation training facility beginning in 1918. Stay overnight, enjoy a meal at one of its restaurants, and marvel at the architecture, artwork, and artifacts on display throughout this National Historic Landmark. Don’t miss the Aviator’s Wall, adjacent to St. Francis’ Chapel and named for the patron saint of “birds and birdmen.”

Mission Inn Museum

Located at the corner of Mission Inn Avenue and Main Street in Downtown Riverside. If you are an architecture and/or history buff, this is the place to sign up for an informative, docent-led guided tour of the Mission Inn Hotel, offered several times daily. You’ll also find unique merchandise and gift items in the museum store.

Riverside Art Museum

Located at the corner of Mission Inn Avenue and Lime Street in Downtown Riverside. Housed in a former YWCA building designed by pioneering female architect Julia Morgan, the Riverside Art Museum (RAM) works to inspire, engage, and build community through the arts. Exhibits change regularly and the museum offers a variety of programs for all ages. The museum store highlights local artists and unique gift items.

Riverside Metropolitan Museum

(Note: Closed for Renovation as of 2018) Located at the corner of Mission Inn Avenue and Orange Street in Downtown Riverside. Housed in a former Post Office and Federal Building, the Riverside Metropolitan Museum offers a variety of permanent and changing exhibits focusing on the Riverside region. The onsite gift shop offers publications and unique items from local authors and craftspersons.

San Bernardino County Museum

Located at 2024 Orange Tree Lane in Redlands (I-10, California Street exit), the San Bernardino County Museum offers three floors of exhibits focusing on cultural and natural history. The museum also administers seven additional branch museum sites located through San Bernardino County.
