Scout Projects

   Eagle Scout Projects

March Field Air Museum is proud to offer opportunities for local Eagle Scout candidates to design and implement their final projects. This past year six Eagle Scout Candidates and their individual troop members contributed hundreds of hours of volunteerism and donated all the materials for the following projects:

        1.  Organized and inventoried Special Events storage area

        2.  Sanded and painted five historic aircraft engines (on static display) and revitalized the outdoor seating area surrounding them

        3.  Restored the interior the C-141 aircraft

        4.  Sanded and repainted floors in lobby and game area

        5.  Cleaned and restored the outdoor snack cart

        6.  Cleaned our MiG aircraft and developed permanent outdoor signage for the “MiG Alley”

We have a continuous list of possible future projects. Please call me at 951-902-5599 if you are interested in doing your Eagle Scout project at our museum.

As a non profit with limited staff and funding, projects such as these contribute greatly to the overall success of our museum. Each scout and his troop has added to our visitor experience with their project and we will be forever grateful for their unique contribution.
