Facilities Maintenance Technician (FMT)  

Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of janitorial, custodial, and maintenance tasks to help maintain a clean and safe environment at the Museum.

Qualifications:

Individual will have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, following directions, comprehension, reading, writing, evaluating, mathematics, and organizing

Physical Requirements:

The job duties require an individual to bend, kneel, reach, and stand for extended periods of time. It also requires an individual to be able to lift upwards of 25 lbs. or more.

Rate of pay and Hours:

$9.00 per hour 4 hours per day/ 20 hours per week

Job Duties:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms

• Sweep floors in Hangar 1, Hangar 2,

• Sweep and Mop floors in Admissions/Info area, Exhibit Hall, Library/Conference room, and Hallways.

• Vacuum carpets • Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers

• Clean windows

• Restock restrooms through-out shift as needed.

• Maintain inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.

• Minor building maintenance and repairs
